Android Central Question

Often when browsing using the Samsung Internet browser the device will shut down and reboot without any warning or error messages being displayed. The only warning I get is that the phone will vibrate briefly before going into shutdown and restart 25 or so seconds later. Running Android 6.0.1, security patches are up to date. Anyone offer any clues as to why?

How often does it happen? More than once day, or only once every few days? If it's pretty frequent, try booting into Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28456. If it does, then some app you installed is causing the instability -- you'd have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

You can also try wiping the cache partition, which is a good general troubleshooting step: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28492
