how to fix android brightness?

[Android Central Question]

I think my brightness is not calibrated. Whenever I slide the brightness slider to the lowest, it turns so dark that you wont see a thing and it takes luck to find the brightness slider again in the dark. Why I say it's not calibrated? Its because i tried fixing it in system files(root) and found out that the default brightness is 255 and little by little i adjusted it to lower until 15 that its already so dark and 13 is completley dark. Need help please......

Welcome to Android Central! Which device? Is it rooted? Did you install a 3rd party screen-dimming app as well?
