My tab 4 is not getting recongized by my pc...

My tab 4 when i plug it into my pc usb it says on windows "device not recognized" and i tried using differant usb ports nd another pc and i tried 6 charging/data cables and non of them worked please help!

Note:when i plug it, the battery icon on the tablet has a red X and a lightning bolt

Welcome to Android Central! Does the tablet not even power on? If so, it could be a problem with the battery or the motherboard. Bring it to a repair shop.

No it does power on it is normaly acting nothing wierd

Since charging is also affected, I would suspect a problem with the tablet's microUSB port. Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, in case there's any debris in there, and clean the contacts with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. If the problem persists, bring it to a repair shop for further testing.

Charging it with the wall socket is normal nothing unusual appears just a lightning bolt, but it charges slowly like 12% each hour, i think it is cuz of the 6800mah battery

When you connect it to your PC via USB and swipe down the notification panel, do you see a USB icon at all?

Yes there is no usb icon not even any thing it stays the same, and my pc says the last device u put in is not recognized

I still think it's a problem with the port. It's possible that the charging contacts are still working (at least partially), while the data transfer contacts aren't. You shouldn't have to install separate drivers for the computer to recognize the device, unless your computer is ancient. What Windows version is it running?

You won't necessarily be able to see a problem if there's something wrong with the hardware. Bring it to a repair shop.

It charges normaly through wall socket but i replaced the port onetime ago, i think the repair shop changed the original broken one wih a charging only port i think thats why.

Great! Did the shop do it, or did you? What work was done -- was the microUSB port replaced?
