There is no direct way to do this. Some use an app called DoubleTwist.

I use the Google Play Music Manager to monitor my iTunes library and upload to my Google Play Music library. Once the music is there, I can stream it from any of my Android devices, my Chromecast, or even cache it to an Android device for offline listening.

Welcome to Android Central! I don't have a Mac, so I can't be sure -- but have you tried using Android File Transfer on the Mac and using it to copy your music files from the computer to the phone's /Music directory? https://www.android.com/filetransfer/. I think Samsung phones can play .AAC/M4A files natively, unless they're older iTunes tracks with DRM.

I hadn't considered that option, @B. Diddy SmartSwitch will do it also, and it's a Samsung tool.
