Android Central Question

I have an LG x power on boost mobile. My husband has the same unlimited 4g LTE plan but a different phone. He gets fast internet connection with no problems while I struggle to even do a Google search at times which leads me to believe that this is a problem with the phone. Every once in a while I'll get ok speeds and this doesn't happen with a WiFi connection. Boost mobile has had me update my profile and even do a factory reset and the problem persists. After contacting lg customer service, they weren't much help either. Is this a specific problem with this model and is there any thing I can do to fix it?

Ask Boost customer service for the number to update the PRL (it used to be *228, and maybe *2 for Sprint [you're on the Sprint network](, but just call customer service and ask.

It may not help, but that's the first step to take if mobile data is slow and wifi isn't.

Another thought (I get my best thoughts about computers when I walk away from mine) - if you're over your monthly data cap, your mobile data speed is going to be very low - maybe as slow as 56kbps. Carriers no longer cut you off, they just cut your speed to almost nothing when you hit the monthly limit.

Thank you very much. I will try that now. I'm very sure I haven't reached my limit because it's so slow that it's nearly impossible. Perhaps boost will grant me credit on my account
