Why is the Android Wear app stuck at Getting your watch details for wear SW007?

I have been trying to get the Android Wear app to sync with my SW007 watch for close to 24 hours now, but it doesn't sync. Everytime i retry i do the following
- clear storage for the google services and wear apps
- restore my watch settings and restart it
- ensure the device Samsung Galaxy A5 and the watch are connected via bluetooth
- connect the wear app to the device
- then it starts "Getting your Watch details" and stuck there.
Internet on my phone is good.

Before you do all the things you did above, go into the Wear app, swipe up, click Advanced, and then click forget watch. Go into settings, apps, click on the Wear app, clear cache, clear data, then uninstall it. You might go into your Bluetooth settings and forget the watch there too. Then, reset your watch. After that, download the Wear app again and try the setup process again. Don't know if all of that will help, but it's worth a try.
