Android Central Question
Device: Google Pixel
Android version 8.1.0
For the past couple of months, after some recent android update, I have not been able to keep my wifi on during sleep mode. The result of this is that my phone is sipping away at my very limited data plan all throughout the day and night.
I have gone through the process of setting the wifi_sleep_policy=2 using the following adb command:
adb shell setting put global wifi_sleep_policy 2
After a reboot, I have confirmed that the wifi_sleep_policy settings remains 2. This seems to be the setting that fixes the issue for most people, but it has not on my device.
I have also enabled the Wifi scanning option in Security-Location-Scanning.
What else do I need to change in order to keep wifi on during sleep?
