Why does my tablet shown Google play has stopped working

I have a archos platinum 7o tablet and after formating and going through the initial setup stages it keeps showing goodles play services has stopped working and won't let me go further than checking info.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this a brand new tablet, or did you do a factory reset because it was malfunctioning?

I had for nearly a year now. After changing my password, it keep showing wrong password and did a factory reset on its own

So after the factory reset, were you asked again to enter your password correctly? Or were you able to get past that, but then that's when you got the Google Play Services error?

Soray for thee late reply. it did not ask for a pass for a password. The Google play error appear when I have to enter my Google account to continue

When exactly were you asked to enter your Google account? Are you talking about during the Setup Wizard?

Yes during that stage

Can you try this on a different wi-fi network (like a public one)?
