What is advanced calling?

I can't make outgoing calls; phone says call not sent.

I see I have video calling on, even though I don't know why. And setting won't let me turn it off while "advanced calling" is on. What's that?

Google search seems to also not be functioning???

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have, and which carrier are you on? Have you asked your carrier about this?

Advanced Calling is Verizon's name for VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which is gives better sound quality and also allows for native video calling (which requires the other person on the call to be on Verizon as well, and have a phone capable of video calling).
