Why aren't my scheduled text messages being received?

I just got a Galaxy S9 and have messages scheduled to send over the next several days. They show as "sent" in my Messages app, but the recipient isn't getting them and I am having to manually resend them. "Send Now" tells me they have already been sent. I thought maybe the phone was putting the app to sleep, but I don't even see Messages listed as an option to set as an unmonitored app. I am stumped. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

No, but to troubleshoot it, schedule a text to yourself a few minutes before the next one is scheduled to be sent, and see if it's sent and if you receive it. That will give you more information to give your carrier when you ask them for help.
