aptx not working on Note 8

[Android Central Question]

Went into developer options and changed bluetooth streaming from SBC to aptX. Soon as I start streaming it switches right back to SBC. (Yes, my DAP has aptX). Anyone know what to do?

Are you updated to Oreo? If so whilst your device is connected to into Bluetooth settings, more settings then click on your device, should tell you codac being used. Not sure how note 8 settings work but both my HTC 11+ and Huawei Mate 9 shown codac being used. I never touch develop options to try and force.

Disable the dual audio option in bluetooth, as this was stopping my note 8 from using the aptx codec.
