    Which phone?
    Which version of android?
    Which carrier?

The default clipboard supplied by the OS is a single-item clipboard. Any new copy/cut replaces the old data with the new data. Long press a text/data entry field to get a popup menu for "paste" commands.

Some phone makers add a multi-item clipboard for you. (You can also download them from the Play Store.) Sometimes these come with clipboard viewing apps. Other times you just long press to get a menu option that says "show all".
