I've got a Samsung Galaxy S5. It randomly shuts off, and then I can't turn it back on again.

As soon as I connect a charger, it shows the battery display (usually around 50-95%) and then I can turn it on again.

I have tried booting into safe mode and clearing something... the cache I think.

    What else could I try?

Welcome to Android Central! I agree, that sounds like a failing battery. Fortunately for you, it's as simple as buying a replacement battery.
