why is my phone off but when i turn it on it shows a red question mark on my lg how do i fix it

I almost feel down dropped my phone into the water I got my phone out and when I took it out and turned it on it showed a red question mark

Welcome to Android Central! Is the question mark inside a battery icon? I doubt the phone is actually powering on -- it's just showing you that there's a fault, probably with the battery or with the motherboard, due to water exposure.
