Sure, as long as the device is signed into the correct account, remote control options were not disabled on the tablet and it has a valid data connection. There are 2 ways of doing this on a Samsung Device:
1) Through Google's Account. You can go to your Google Account, go to your device list, and request a remote wipe. If the device is connected to Internet, the request will automatically delete all device data.
2) Through Samsung's 'Find My Mobile' site. Same as the Google path, but through Samsung's own site, which on top, also allows to unlock the device should you need to connect to a PC and back up files.
