I was on my phone as usual, and all of a sudden I see several unknown music and video files on the main screen of my Sony Xperia mobile. I restarted the phone and they were still there. I deleted those files from the phone and then all seemed okay.

However, the incident looked quite fishy. I have never seen those files on my phone previously, but I am not entirely sure of it, as there are many that I get from various messaging services. I have been getting warning about my storage being full for quite some time. Is it possible that this incident is related to the warnings? Please advise.

    Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! What main screen are you talking about -- the homescreen? Or did you just notice the files when you were using a file manager app?

If you deleted the icons from the homescreen, all you deleted were shortcuts to the actual files. Use a file manager, find the files themselves and delete them.
