Is there a way to change where SMS are saved on Jelly Bean?

Last month we did a factory reset on my mom's phone. Last week or so she noticed that she doesn't receive any new SMS because 'SIM card memory is full'. I checked and yes - the messages are saved on SIM card. I tried but couldn't find where to change the default memory for messages. Is there even a way to do so?

General Settings -> Storage -> from there you should be able to find your SMS storage and change it from SIM to MEMORY CARD
