If I paid for an app and uninstall it does that mean I have to pay for It again?

I'm just trying to update and app but I want to ,Akers sure that I don't have to pay for the app I delete sorry if this makes no sense

It depends on the app, but most of the time if you paid for it it is linked to the account, not the phone or one-time install. If the app is poorly coded or done precisely for one-time installations, then yeah, you'd have to pay again (these are VERY rare).

If you purchased it through Google Play, it should show there (paid version) as available for installation and not for purchase (because you already purchased it).

If you installed it from Play, and paid for it in Play, it's marked as paid for the account you used when you installed it. You can keep installing it for years without paying again. (I've had to do that many times, before I started saving the apk files on my PC, just in case I had to reinstall an app.)
