My battery percentage is stuck at the same number.

[Android Central Question]

I just got this Moto e5 supra a few days ago and the battery percentage is always stuck on the same number regardless if it's charging or not. However the percentage updates whenever I restart my phone. Any help or insight as to how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to restart my phone whenever I want to know how much battery I have left.
