android device not responding, no indication of anything

[Android Central Question]

My oneplus 1 isn't switching on and isn't detected by windows. If I connect it to windows, I get a message saying 'USB device not recognized'.
Earlier, my phone went into fastboot mode, and I used adb to exit fastboot as volume buttons do not work. Last week this happened again, and this time I removed the sim card, and then used adb to exit fastboot.
Now, my phone is not responding, it is not even indicating the fastboot mode.

Please help. Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! It sure sounds like a hardware failure. It might just be a dead battery, but there won't be any way to know unless you try replacing the battery (or just bring it to a repair shop).
