upgraded my phone and the messages are still going to my old phone

I am on EE and I upgraded my phone through Carphone warehouse, both phones are Android, I have put the new sim into the new phone and the old one is still in the old phone. I am not receiving texts on my new one but still receiving them on my old one. What can I do to correct this?

If both phones are trying to use the same phone number, this in your problem. For the phone and SMS systems to work correctly, only one phone can use a phone number at a time.
