Android Central Question

My note 8 wont turn on this morning and i took it to service center. They said to leave the phone for 3-5 days then if it needs parts replacement then data will be erased first. I’m worried they will go through my files. I have some private photos and videos there. Anyone can pls help what to do?

If an employee is found going through a customer's files, he's an ex-employee - in minutes - and they'll send the things in his desk to him.

Just make sure that a) you get a receipt and b) you have the whole phone backed up - they don't "erase your data" - at very least they do a factory reset. At most they reflash the ROM. In either case, all your data is gone.

You can make sure about the first by doing a factory reset before bringing it in. No files, so nothing for them to look through.
