Apps on Sd card have no icon

[Android Central Question]

After downloading apps I move the ones I can move to my SD card to save storage space. Recently I've noticed that some of the apps don't have icons just have the app name with the SD card symbol. When you clock on it it opens the app but when you try to add a shortcut of the app to the home screen it says app doesn't exit. Do I have a bad SD car? Or something? Please explain. Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone -- is it a Galaxy S9 or Note9? I've been seeing a number of posts about this, so it's probably a glitch in Samsung's firmware. Send feedback to Samsung about it.
