Rooting Lollipop failing

I'm tired of all the preinstalled apps so I decided to root my Moto G. Using Kingo apk on my phone, it gets to 90% and then reboots and then nothing. I use root checker and the phone is not rooted. I've tried 3 times. I then downloaded Kingo to my PC and hooked up to my phone and it reboots once during the process and then gets to 100% with the message that it failed. I've also tried that one a few times. Are there any other options? Thanks.
