Bruh i messed up my phone

[Android Central Question]

I dropped my phone in a bowl of cereal one time and my home button stopped working. Next I dropped my phone into the toliet and now my internal sound doesnt work. GUYS HELP THIS IS A NEW PHONE AND I DONT WANNA BE BEAT WITH A WOODEN SPOON.

If you're days past when either of those happened, this guide may be useless but it has info on what to do if your phone gets wet. Bottom line, if you did ANYTHING other than power off the device immediately and it's been any amount of time, the damage is already done. The cereal probably did the most damage - sugar and milk are worse than plain water (I REALLY hope the toilet was only plain water) as far as leaving deposits behind when the liquid dries.
