How do I update my phone when it's "modifed"?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note II and every time I try to update it it says "Your device is modified. No updates are available. " How can I get my phone to update?

That phone isn't likely to have any updates anyway. It's no longer supported, so the only reason you'd have any to get would be if you never updated it in the past.

As for being modified, that may happen if your phone is rooted.
