    Hello,

I have a Nokia 3.1 phone running Android 8.0 Oreo. I am not able to move files from my internal storage to my SD card. Whenever I try to do this I get an error message that says: You must perform the certain steps to grant Samsung SD card card access rights. I click OK and do the steps but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong here?

    Thank you

Since 4.4, you can't just write anything to anywhere on the SD card - it's considered as part of the file system. There's probably a selection in whatever app you're running when you're trying to move files where you can select the SD card to make it writable. There's nothing wrong with the phone and probably nothing wrong with the card, you're just missing something. (But, not being there watching you, we can't tell what.)

Welcome to Android Central! Is that exactly what the message says, or are you paraphrasing? Also, what are the exact steps it tells you to go through?

    Hello,
I am trying to move video files to my SD card. I selected the file that I wanted to move, and then selected the “Move To” option. I then selected: Move to MicroSD, and I selected the Documents folder. And the following screen came up to move the file to:
    > root > storage > 8881-1600 , and I clicked OK.

Then a screen popped up that said: You must perform the certain steps to grant Samsung SD card access rights. And I clicked OK.

Then another screen popped that said the same thing, and I clicked >.

Then another screen popped up verifying that I wanted to use the Documents folder and I clicked: Select.

And it sent me right back to the previous screen.

BTW, I used to use Google Picasa to enhance my images. Is there another app that I can use that is not too complicated?

    Thanks!

That's an odd sequence. Which file manager are you using? Try a 3rd party one like Total Commander instead.

I enhance my images with the Google Photos app, which usually does a nice job when I tap the Auto-enhance option.
