Wifi dialing not working

[Android Central Question]

The wifi calling button is 'greyed' out with the message 'wifi enabling'. It never gets to the 'enabled' state. Power off, resetting network settings, turning airplane mode on and off, and removing wifi dialing option from vendor does not have any impact. Any suggestions?

Which carrier are you using, and did you get this phone directly from the carrier, or bring it to the carrier from somewhere else?

I am on Rogers and got the phone directly from Rogers. I have safe mode and tried it to fix problem, but was not successful

Have you already followed the steps here? https://www.rogers.com/customer/support/article/wi-fi-calling-everything-you-need-to-know. Specifically, did you get the verification code to enable wi-fi calling? Did wi-fi calling work before, but then stop working?

Wifi calling has worked for about 2 years. Rogers tried to turn off wifi calling to see if that would reenable wifi calling option, but that did not help.
I did get the Aug security patch just before this problem started

That's certainly suspicious timing. Did you ask Rogers if they've received complaints from other G5 owners of the same problem?
