I have been given a Samsung Galaxy phone by my son in an attempt to drag me into the 21st century and although I have learnt how to send a Text message and to take a photograph I have not been able to send any of the photographs. I thought that I had managed to send one but it took a very long time to transmit and even then it failed. My daughter suggested that I use either Facebook or Messenger but then said that she thought that Messenger cost money to use so could anyone please make a suggestion.
    Many thanks.

Select the photo in your photos or gallery app, tap the Share icon - a sort of triangular thing - then choose how and to whom you wish to send it.

Another way, when texting someone, is to tap the paperclip Attachments icon, and proceed from there.

Either way, find out your carrier's MMS charges first.

If you've already tried that, or something like, tell us.

Pictures sent via text message need to be sent using your Data, Not by WiFi.

And the MMS settings in the APN have to be correct - your carrier can check that, and correct it if necessary.
