I dropped my phone in water 3 days ago and I quickly put it to dry and after that I tried charging it and in the screen it popped up that it had detected moisture in the charging port so I disconnected it and put it in rice and now it only says cable charging
Also I check the fast charging button and it's ON and now it says it will take 5 hours to charge

Please help, has anybody experienced this before
    Thank you in advance

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? The water exposure likely caused some damage. See this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...e-got-wet.html

if you do not dry the battery properly, however, water can damage and corrode its sensitive components. Many cell phones have batteries that feature a moisture indicator, which is a sticker that alerts you to water damage.check it.If so it has been damaged by water. You have to replace a new one
