Android Central Question

This morning I received a text from my sister (she's on iPhone) the file was 539 Bytes. At first, it looked like a picture trying to come through, then it vanished. I asked her about it, and she said she wasn't trying to send me anything. Then it started back up again. I did the press to delete the thing, and it didn't work at first, so I had to try again. I'm pretty sure I didn't download it because I didn't get a download notification. I finally got it deleted, but I wanted to know has anyone else had weird issues like this on Android Messenger? Could it have been malware?

Remember, there are millions of advertising companies out there using some form of robocaller that changes its callerID to something you might recognize and respond to. Voice and, now maybe, text. I would check any attachment to a text with the sender before downloading it if I wasn't expecting it. It could just be a political ad, it could be malware.

I would go into Google and type in google Activity, And go to my Google activity.
And on the 2nd set of 3 dots, go to delete google activity,
When it comes up as today, click on it and change it to all time
Then delete google activity.
Then go to the top set of 3 dots and delete your browsing history.

Go to device maintenance and delete out the catch, clear your battery and memory.
They reboot your phone by turning it off and on every few days.

I been doing this on a Samsung Android phone.
