Since we did not get a new pixel book, and the slate uses the same screen size, can we upgrade???

Is the pixel book on a 2 year upgrade cycle? I'm good with that make my purchase feel new longer.

Are the 8th gen Y chips that much faster???

Heard a rumor of a 4:3 pixel book with a 12.9 inch screen. Too big for me.

Love the pixelbook size, don't want a bigger screen.

No - the components inside these devices aren't meant to be swapped out and upgraded. You have to live with the deice you purchased, or purchase a new one.

If you're a good hardware engineer, you could probably figure out a way to cobble a different screen onto the Pixelbook. But with 46 years of hardware and software design, I wouldn't tackle that. Figuring what I got paid before I retired, it would be much cheaper to buy a slate. (I still consider my time worth money, except here. This is fun. I don't confuse the two.)
