    Transferring videos from phone to sd card to free space, only to find videos are no where on the sd card...any way i can recover them successfully?!

    Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? How did you move the videos? I assume you used the Move, rather than the Copy command -- in the future, always use Copy, since the original file will always be safe if something goes wrong with the file operation. Move will usually eliminate the source file once the operation is complete, even if there was a problem with the moved file.

    Have you already tried looking through the SD card using a file manager app? Or unmounting the card, removing it, and inserting it into your PC?

    Or just restarting the phone?

    Media apps show the files listed in the media database, which is updated if you take a picture, make a video, record sound, etc., but not if you copy files. You have to restart the phone to update it, so it will pick up the copied or moved files.
