Android Central Question

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to smart phones, and I was pretty sure both my phone which were connected through gmail were synced but it seems they weren't. And when I just reinstalled my main phone it restored only the contacts that were on my 2nd phone, missing a lot of people.

Does anyone know how I can get those contacts back?

Are you saying your contacts were part of gmail and didn't sync over?
Or is it possible that you have them in the phone's internal storage?
I would log into your account from a computer and see if they are there or not.
If they aren't, try this:
Log into your Gmail account via the web.
Click on the Gmail in the top left.
When the dropdown appears, select Contacts.
In the top level navigation, select More.
When the dropdown appears, select Restore Contacts.

You may have to be viewing your contacts in the old format when logged in on a computer.

I can't be sure, but I am pretty sure they were synced, so I didn't check or back anything up before I reset the phone to factory settings :(

I'm now in the contacts page (contacts.google.com), and it shows all my numbers that were saved on my 2nd phone, but none of the ones that were saved on the main phone.

On top of that, I have resaved one of the number already, and that is also not there. Even though autosync and all the sync options are checked on the main phone.

Any ideas?
