Keyboard won't appear

[Android Central Question]

I have a galaxy S5, usually a keyboard appears whenever I tap on a place that needs text input. However, I've tried loading an app (Amazon Fire TV Remote App) that it won't work on. The app calls for entering a 4 digit code, but when I tap on the place to enter the code, the keyboard doesn't show up. I was using the keyboard that came with the phone (Samsung's keyboard), and I tried Google's keyboard. Neither one will work. Would appreciate any suggestions.

I was able to get this to work this morning, I'm not sure what if anything changed. I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the application again (something I tried twice yesterday).
