I have a high capacity SD card I use in my android phone, it has needed to be formatted a couple times because of corrupted files etc, but now when I try to format it, my phone says "SanDisk SD card is ready" as though it's successfully formatted, but then just still says the SD card is unsupported and needs to be formatted again. It doesn't matter how many times I do it, my phone will say it was successful, but it clearly isn't. Any ideas?

    Which phone?
    Which version of android?
    Which carrier?
How many gigs is the card?

I would try putting the card into a card reader attached to your computer and doing a low-level (full) formatting. This will find and map any bad "sectors".
