the ans ul40 is a POS phone that purposefuly does not work, the reason for this is so poor elderly and unemployed people will be forced to buy 200 dollar marked up phones from the assurance wireless store . now, it is very tricky to turn off the psychotic voicemail ringtone but i somehow by the grace of Bhudda figured out how.
step 1: click on the little blue phone symbol thats on the bottom left corner of the home screen
    2. click on the three little vertical dot symbol thats on the top right corner of that screen and click "settings"
    3. Click on "calls" (the fifth option down from that screen)
    5. Click "voicemail"
    6. click on "sound" and change it to "none"
finally that horrible incessant ringing from hell should stop (of course all the millions of other problems with the ansul40 unfortunately will not)
