Android Central Question

I got my s7 about a month ago (it was a replacement for a previous phone of the same model) and from the start it had problems reading sim cards (I've tried three cards and the taking it out and putting it back in method is the best way to deal with it) but was overall fine. about 5 hours ago I was at 4% battery when the screen suddenly went black. the red LED light was still blinking as an indicator for low battery, so I figured it just crashed. tried every button multiple times and completely unresponsive. I even tried to soft reboot it and nothing happened. Still just blinking red light. I plugged it into a charger and the light continued to blink (it should be solid red when charging), and when I plugged it into my computer and the computer can't see the device, which also tells me it's not charging.

I couldn't find this same problem or a solution anywhere. I've cleaned out all the ports and it's been plugged in for two hours. Anyone got anything on this?

thank you!!!

Welcome to Android Central! The battery may have failed. Was this an official replacement from an insurance or extended warranty company, or did you buy it from somewhere as a replacement?

Hopefully you've been charging your phone for the last few hours. Now clear the cache partition and reboot. Don't run your battery that low, as it will degrade it quickly and also shut down your phone, ayk.
