My iphone was completely wiped and somehow was not backing up. in between my last phone (a Samsung S8) and this iphone, I flirted with the Blackberry KeyOne. It looks like the last copy of my phone data is from that period - an .xml file called Contacts that was saved by Blackberry.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get that data into any usable format. (I thought .xml files were supposed to be readable, but when I open it is just a bunch of gibberish.)

Ideally I would like to get this data back onto the iphone, but I would be happy to access it anywhere - PC, old windows phone that I still have lying around, outlook - anything.

Thanks in advance for anyone who has any ideas!

If the XML file was created by an app for contacts, any modern spreadsheet app should reasonably show the contents interpreted as a table.
