Android Central Question

I have an LG Q6 and just had a Pioneer FH-S701BS receiver installed in my car. I can't get my contacts to transfer over when I pair the phone. It only shows the first contact and says there is no number associated with it. If I do a search on the receiver it shows the contact names, but says there are no numbers associated with each contact. I took it back to the place that did the installation, but they were no help as the tech tried it with his iphone and it worked fine. He said there is probably a setting on my phone that is blocking the contacts from being properly shared. Contacts worked fine with my previous car and radio. I checked my settings and everything seems fine. I have unpaired and repaired the phone with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! When you first pair the car stereo with the phone, check the phone screen and see if it asks permission to access your contacts. Also, go to Settings>Bluetooth, tap the gear icon next to the car stereo, and make sure Contact Sharing is turned on.

Ok, then sometimes this helps -- on the phone, open your Contacts app, then tap Menu, and look for an option to customize which contacts to display. Instead of the Show All option, manually select the groups you want to display. That helps with some older car systems.
