A question about music files, and sorting them in file manager?

Android Central Question

I have a samsung galaxy, and I've been striving towards organizing my abundance of music files; I was wanting to organize the music by genre. I obviously know I can sort my music into different folders, and name those folders whatever I'd like, however, I've taken notice that my music files adopt the folder names as their album titles, rather than their genres, in the unicode. This results in a song automatically updating and replacing it's Album information, to something like "Edm".
So my main question is: Is it possible to have the names of the folders (in file manager) be automatically registered as something other than Album titles?

Welcome to Android Central! What music app are you using to play your music? Most music apps will rely on the embedded ID4 tag information to categorize and sort your music, unless you're using a folder-based music player. This means that no matter where a particular music file is located, it would still be categorized/sorted the way the ID4 tags specify. To edit ID4 tags, you can use a program like MediaMonkey on your computer.
