Articles here promised ALL American LG V20 models to get Oreo by September 7, 2018. However, it is now November 7 and U.S. Cellular is still listing V20 at 7.0.0 while V30 is 8.0.0 and V40 is 8.1.0 and my V20 has not received a Security update since April 1, 2017 version US99610h.
When I selected the LG V20 it was because it was the only phone available with Android Nougat pre-installed by the manufacturer, which they told me was essential as this meant the internal storage format would take up additional space to allow for RAPID updates of all technical builds!
Yet U.S. Cellular's update says that I have the latest software and 7.0.0 is at least a dozen versions behind dating from 3rd quarter of 2016 and the current Android version now up to 9.x.x. So why does EVERY other LG V20 provider already have Oreo EXCEPT U.S. Cellular?
