Lookout says it is using battery How do I make it stop or remove the app?

Samsung S7 Active. This started when it last updated.

Lookout is usually installed as a system app - you normally have to root the phone to remove it. Look at system apps in Settings/Apps for Lookout and see if there's a "Disable" button.
