If I turn off my data and reply to an MMS group text as an SMS text - does that text just go to the one recipient I actually reply to - or do all of the people on the original group text see that reply?

When you reply to a group text, the reply type is always "reply to all".
If the texting app you are using allows it, you could try removing the unwanted names from the "to" box.
However, you most likely would need to start a new conversation to only that one person.

OK, but my reason for asking was that my phone requires me to be connected to my data plan to send a group text or MMS. If data is turned off all I can send is an SMS text, so if I did that to reply, wouldn't it just go to the one person I replied to? If it did indeed reply to all recipients, would I be able to see that reply in each conversation?

And I did find a way to choose "reply to all" - which lets me see who the reply is going to and to remove people. So if I didn't choose that option when replying - does it then go just to one person?

    Thanks!
