Android 6.0.1: ALL soft-keyboards are pushed down

[Android Central Question]

I have a rooted J2 Prime with android 6.0.1
All of the keyboards I try, are pushed down and I can't use the spacebar nor the special punctuation buttons.

I have tried Samsung's keyboard, "Hacker's keyboard" and "swiftkey".
All of them presented the same issue.

I have already tried rebooting, and deleting the data and cache of both keyboards.
What should I do?
