why my galaxy s8 screen is malfunctioning?

my 6 month old s8 starts giving me the problem from the first week i bought. the problem is that the screen automatically selects the menus that comes at a particular point on the screen. normally if we scroll down the applications and functions its the torch function that appears on that particular point on the screen and it keeps on going on and off without my intervention. some times some whats app chats are getting selected. then i have to press the power key once. then it comes back to normal. this is annoying and another case in my key pad i have to struggle to get the number 2 typed. all the time i press either no.1 or no.3 gets selected.

It sounds like a bad digitizer. The phone is under warranty, so they'll replace it, but if you had complained the first week, they'd probably have replaced it with a new phone.
