Android Central Question

I downloaded some memes. However whenever I go to find them I cannot find them. I have checked in my Google photos and my gallery. I have a TracFone alcatel smartphone , so I don't know if you can help me. my downloads are popping up in the download folder. However whenever I click on them it pops up file not found. I have tried restarting my phone shutting it off and on and it still does not work. I've tried downloading the memes multiple times. And it's still just says file not found. But it lets me use them in a wallpaper. But it doesn't let me view them.

Typically devices have two main storage locations, internal and external. This is often true of devices that don't have SD cards too. If you're not already try a file manager app. I'm not sure how much you know about memory but if you navigate to the highest level of your memory you will find two or three options, this is often called the root location. Check inside each of those and you will find some duplicates, i.e. my files/my desktop, downloads, photos, etc. When you're looking for these files you may be directed to your internal or external memory which won't show you the other because of being in that portion of your memory. Just like on a PC if search from a folder it only shows you what in that folder and in the folders within that folder, which is why you must get to the root of your memory.

Alternatively if you have Google photos installed, you should be able to open that app use the three line menu access, upper left corner and sort by picture, video or file and have it show you all the folders with any of those items and then search each one of them.

If neither of these works posts and someone will have more.
