Android Marshmallow using up Internal Storage?

[Android Central Question]

I'm using a Lenovo Tab 3 8 Plus.
and 64Gb Micro SD card which I integrated using Adoptable Memory which should make it 60+ Gb unable

Yesterday, I got low storage error and my internal memory
was at 15 Gb, SD card at 3Gb. I changed default location of some apps to SD but same issue. I don't want to format again.

Welcome to Android Central! It might have to do with poor implementation of the adoptable storage feature. I recall the same issue cropping up on Moto phones (which are also from Lenovo). You may want to contact Lenovo support about this.

I am an ex contributer to the Lenovo forum and yes adoptable storage was a major problem, it invariably failed, it was generally recommended that the card was formatted as external and not adoptable.
