Why is the s2 more expensive than 2 years ago?

[Android Central Question]

Two years ago I bought my s2 8 in (sm-t713) for 299 (I have the email receipt from best buy). Now the s3 and s4 are out, but that same s2 is $350. This seems very wrong. Did they somehow upgrade it while keeping the same part #?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you remember if you got yours on sale? I agree that it's odd the Tab S2 is still being sold -- I think I saw it in Costco recently.
