Please need help, i just bought my brand new Z2 Force, when get the upgrade to Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) i watch the storage device, notice i say is brand new, i even install any other apps, only whats app, an now i have 14GB in memory just for the OS, it's any other way to get a light weight version of android, because 14GB is too way much.
Cell specs: Z2 Force 64GB 6 RAM (i still think 14GB is too much)

Welcome to Android Central! Show us a screenshot of the Settings>Storage menu: http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...d-central.html. You'll have to register on this forum first. https://forums.androidcentral.com/as...community.html

It looks like that might be standard for that phone: https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-m...e-vs-OnePlus-6. The OS should only take up about 4-5 GB, so that phone probably has a lot of bloatware preinstalled, accounting for the other 10 GB. It can be pretty outrageous. Phone manufacturers and carriers have gotten better about this lately, but some are still pretty terrible. Some bloatware can be uninstalled -- look through all of your apps in Settings>Apps, and see if it's possible. Otherwise, you'd have to root the phone in order to uninstall the bloat.

Sorry, but I don't have any rooting experience. The forums at XDA-Developers.com is a better resource for that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force

Sure, glad I could help! I should add that although you often can't uninstall bloatware, you can typically Disable those apps. This reverts the app to the factory version (which is usually smaller than the updated version through the Play Store, thus saving some space), and prevents it from opening (which means it won't compete with other apps for RAM). Go to Settings>Apps, select the app, and look for a Disable button. (If you don't see one, then it can't be disabled.)
